A loaf of bread, a bottle of milk...

Why do you think it is, that you can enter a shop with a clear list of things in your mind that you need to buy, and leave 20 minutes later with armfuls of items that you have no partucular need for? And usually without the items on your original list.

Its becoming a problem.

I appear to have little to no self-control when it comes to groceries.
I am hording.
If I could stuff my cheeks with nuts, I probably would.

Its odd though, because I love making lists. I'm a forgetful person nowadays, so lists are an integral part of my life. I just cannot seem to stop myself from ADDING to them.

Tonight, I added Coconut Slice and Chilli TimTam biscuits, and didn't get my Bhuja mix :(

I couldn't FIND the Bhuja mix, but that is beside the point. If I could have found it, I would have bought that as well.

I'm considering trying shopping for ONLY what is on the list, but I'm positive that it will just mean that I'll need to shop 6 or 7 times during the week for the things that I forget to list.

Maybe I should make my lists when I arrive home from the supermarket....

My home among the gum trees

First posts should be profound. They should say something. Be about something.

This isn't, doesn't and isn't.

It is however, the first post on my little blogging site. I don't really have a master plan for this place yet, although I do want some colour around the place, maybe a vase of gerberas, or a playfully coloured cat. I'm toying with a red dirt theme, but I think it will get all over everything, and we will never be able to get it out.

So, substance.

2005 has so far been pretty abysmal. I had high hopes after the pathetic year that was 2004, but alas, it was not to be.
So far my health has worsened, several fish have died, I have been called names (what is this? kindergarten??), stressed over setting up a national fish organisation, and to top all of this my extended family have taken on my immediate family over trying to knock of my grandmother and take all her money :?

And its only February.

Or perhaps I should say its February already... where did the time go?
